Hello there,

Most press release sites do require newsworthy material in order to approve it. This is important for the press release to perform well, so it is actually a good thing. Press releases are one of the best ways to get quality backlinks to your site. My first suggestion would be to hire a creative writer to write the press release for you. Come up with something you can announce about your company or product and have a talented writer take it from there. We do have some copywriters on staff and we charge only $150 at this time for a professional press release to be written for you. It is guaranteed to be approved and perform well. If you are looking for other means of SEO, you can do some article distribution, social bookmarking, and/or social media marketing. Social media is rapidly becoming more powerful each day, especially facebook. If you would like any further suggestions and/or advice feel free to contact us.

Thanks for visiting our blog!

I’m having trouble getting my asbestos websites news approved by some of the press release sites.
Its just that i don’t think we have anything newsworthy to talk about.

What do you guys think should another medium of SEO would be more appropriate?

You presented some useful tips about how to use Facebook to benefit your business. I think one of the most important tips is what you said at the end -- don't create a page and then just let it sit there. If a small business has a Facebook page, it's important to make sure it's updated regularly so clients will have a reason to visit.

I could not agree more and I know exactly how you feel. My 9yr old gave me the same comment not that long ago! It cuts you right through your heart and you have no choice but to move away from the computer and adjust. Work is NOT more important than your family. Lesson learned!
Thanks!

As a designer myself you have to listen to what the client wants as well as what the visitors to any website say. It is a tight rope that any designer must walk. However, as the designer/developer you have the expertise so when you get requests that would not benefit the customer or visitor in the long run you must find a way to inform your customer or come up with a way to provide what they are asking for in a way that satisfies. That is what makes a great designer/developer.
